Writer's Block

Our blog posts seem to be slacking off don’t they? We blame writer’s block and not enough free time! Sorry about that….we haven’t abandoned the blog totally!

Yesterday we turned 32 weeks! Some new things we have been up to….we are both sitting up really well now. We’ve tried LOTS of veggies. Mommy says we have cauliflower and broccoli left to go, and then we can try some fruit! Grace has two bottom teeth now and apparently is an excellent teether. We are both rolling in both directions and are both tummy sleepers. They tried to fight us on it, but we eventually won. Tummies it is! We make all sorts of new noises. Grace has a high pitched shriek that will make your brain rattle. Both of us like to suck in like we are gasping for air and scare the pants off Mommy. Grace was the first to learn that one and decided to test it out when Mommy came in to get her from bed one morning. She couldn’t keep a straight face though, so Mommy caught on pretty quick. Now when Anna coughs or sneezes she makes a cute little “whoooooooo” noise afterwards. So as to say, “Man, that was a good one!” We laugh all the time. Mommy and Daddy will just do anything to get us to laugh! Both of us are pretty ticklish, but Grace is EXTREMELY ticklish. She tightens up her tummy and makes funny noises when you tickle her. Both of us have ticklish legs. We will almost always laugh if you give us “haaarsey bites.” (That’s what Grampy says….AAAAARRRRRR….also heard in words like fark and carn)

Anna got her very first energy drink. Here she is opening the can…

And after she had a few swigs…

And now she’s addicted.

Anna got her helmet to correct her little noggin’.

She’s got positional plagiocephaly. Fancy speak for a flat spot. This was caused by her torticollis. Basically one of her neck muscles grew short in the womb causing her to look one direction more than others so we have to do stretches all day every day to loosen her up. This will get her to where she doesn’t look one direction more than the other. The helmet has to stay on 23 hours a day. Basically it stops the growth in certain spots, and encourages the spots that are flatter to grow and round out. Kind of like molding her head to be round. She doesn’t seem to mind the helmet too much. She isn’t too patient for taking it on and off, but that is probably because those times seem to coincide with changing in and out of pajamas, which is also usually around breakfast and dinner time and she’s already hungry, sleepy, or both! She does great with it otherwise though. It stopped her from sleeping on her tummy for a couple of weeks, but last night she figured it out and back onto her tummy she goes!

We just gone done with our first Thanksgiving. We spent it at Grammy & Grampy’s lake house. We had a lot of fun. Our Thanksgiving feast included squash, green beans and potatoes!

We seem to be getting closer to crawling. We can move around, but haven’t taken off just yet. Anna is a pro at throwing it in reverse. Mommy put us down for tummy time, and Anna decided to take an adventure off the carpet.

Mommy attempted to make some headbands and used us as models. What do you think?

Well, that about sums it up. We hope everyone has a Wonderful Christmas!!
