Pumpkin Patch & Halloween!

We had a fun October! We really like Fall and all the fun activities that come with it! We started with our first trip to the Pumpkin Patch. They had a lot of little wooden cut outs to take pictures with. We plan on making this a yearly tradition, and here is a cool cut out to document how much we grow every year!

It was REALLY sunny that day, so it was really hard to look at the camera. But there are LOTS of pictures of the tops of our heads! Here are the tops of our heads with Papa Smurf.

This one was partly in the shade. Our first pumpkin patch!

Here are some more cutouts that we posed in.

And we took a family picture with Charlie Brown.

Mommy also started making us homemade baby food. Our first food was sweet potatoes. They didn’t go over so well. We eventually started accepting them and eating them, but it was a rough start. Anna HATED them.

“Seriously?”

We’ve also tried avocados (yum!) and our all time favorite, CARROTS!! We LOOOOOOOOOVE carrots. We open our mouths like little baby birds and Mommy and Daddy can’t shovel them in fast enough. They also make for some colorful diapers!

Another milestone…Grace started rolling from back to front. A lot of times Mommy and Daddy come in to her sleeping on her tummy. Sometimes it is an accident though and she screaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaams until someone comes to rescue her. She’s not so good at the front to back.

We are really starting to enjoy each other. We talk to each other and smile at each other. We are starting to be best friends!

We also had our first Halloween. Anna was a ladybug, and Grace was a bumblebee.

“Sister, you look funny.”

Here is us buzzin’ around Grampy.

Mommy’s Love Bugs

Grammy was helping Grace pick out some candy. She decided she wanted it all. A bowl full of candy sure is a lot of fun to play in.

Anna excited to be a ladybug

Daddy dressed up too. Does anyone watch Breaking Bad? Daddy was Heisenberg. Pretty close huh?

Halloween was a lot of fun and we can’t wait until next year when we can walk around and get into trouble….and maybe have a piece of candy or two.

Since Halloween, we’ve just been hangin’ out. Daddy got Anna dressed for the day this past weekend. He said that polka dots and polka dots match right? (WRONG)

Grace helped Daddy with some important business on his cell phone.

This past Saturday we attended our very first block party! It was pretty exciting as you can tell.

And today we turned 28 weeks old!

And here are just some random shots showing off our cuteness!

Fall is here!!!

We made a trip down to Austin a few weekends a go for Tiffany’s baby shower! We don’t have any pictures….again. Mommy missed a great opportunity to take pictures of us with Tiff and Trina and Tiff’s baby bump! But we did get a picture of Grace’s piggy back ride by the pool.

And then after the baby shower we had dinner with Mommy’s friend that she’s know since she was 6! Mommy says that our group has really gotten large with 2 extra boys, and FOUR extra babies!! We are quite a house full when our families get together. We can’t wait until we are older and can really play together.

Our 2nd cousin Katie who went to Tech sent us some clothes! We love our Tech onesies!

She also sent us some purses that are really fun to chew on and she sent us some bows so we are all ready for the games.

Her little boy puppy, Cooper, also sent a gift to Bocefus. That was so sweet of Cooper to make sure Bocefus didn’t feel left out.

Mommy & Daddy took a little vacation and we helped them kick it off with a weekend at the lake house. We got some much needed rain, but were stuck inside a lot. We made the best of it though! We took some naps in strange places. Did y’all know how relaxing a Johnny Jump Up and a changing table could be??

We went to Lowes where Grandma proceeded to put more funny things on Anna’s head (and look for Grammy to appear on You Tube because she had some funny singing moving Santa hat on her head and some strange man took a video of her…tee hee). And Anna got to ride in the big kids part of the basket! Can you tell Mommy is a bit of a germaphobe? She made a nice seat out of a blanket and a burp cloth so Anna didn’t touch the basket.

We also had some fun tummy time in our new Halloween jammies! We don’t dress alike all that often, but it is kind of fun every once in a while.

Then Grandma read us a story. We really liked that, and Anna loved to help turn the pages.

Then on the following Monday, we turned 24 weeks! Mommy tried really hard to get a good picture, but we are all over the place these days. We are doing well at sitting up, but when we reach for something we just fall right over. And we also like to straighten out and then end up slouching down into the chair…so most of her attempts at this picture have us slouched down and toppled over. Anna is demonstrating her newest skill in this picture – raspberries!! She blows raspberries all the time….and they are quite juicy. She even does them sometimes while she’s crying. You can even get her to stop crying occasionally by blowing a raspberry back.

Look at how much we’ve grown!!

Mommy and Daddy did some fun things on their vacation and when we are a little older, we’ll be able to enjoy some of that stuff too! We can’t wait! Here is Daddy posing with an alien at lunar golf.

And here is Daddy swimming with the fish.

Now vacation is over and it is back to work! We had an appointment for Anna yesterday for her crooked noggin (positional plagiocephaly caused by torticollis…very common in twins (feel free to be impressed by our knowledge of medical terminology)). Basically she has a tightened neck muscle from being crammed into Mommy’s belly which caused her to have a tilt in her head, which then caused her to lay a certain way too much causing a flat spot. She had to wear this awesome baby do-rag to get pictures taken. It looks like she’s less than amused, but don’t be mislead. It is just that gangstas don’t smile.

Her noggin has grown 15mm in just 30 days! But unfortunately it hasn’t rounded out on its own. Her muscle has loosened up quite a bit, but we are still working on it with stretches and as much tummy time and activities without laying down as possible (we can’t get enough of our exersaucers!!). Anna will be getting a cute little helmet to help her straighten out her noggin. We are just waiting on insurance before we can get started. Then she’ll have a nice little round head in just a few months!

Well, that is all for now. Hopefully the next post will bring Pumpkin Patch and Halloween pictures!

The end!
