First Haircut!

Ok, so we are WAY overdue in updating. Sorry about that! This post may be all over the place. Maybe we'll start with this weekend and work backwards.
We had a busy weekend! Saturday we got our very first official haircuts! Anna wasn't too impressed, but Grace did pretty well until the hair dryer came out. We probably won't be going back there ($18 for a kids haircut?!?!?!), but they were a good place for your very first cut. They gave us a little baggy with a couple of our curls in it along with a little certificate with the date, how old we are and we got some free hair bows.
























Saturday evening we went to Grammy and Grampy's lake house to spend the night. Grace decided to give up sleeping all night. We aren't really sure what that was about because we are both great sleepers. But by about 5am, we were both in bed with Mommy and Daddy!  YAY!  We liked the Sunday morning snuggles.  Grace was bright eyed and bushy tailed by a little after 7am, so she got up to make Mommy some coffee (really...we both know how to work the Keurig as long as Mommy puts the water in!).
Now that the weather is giving us a little break, we have been able to get outside some more.  We love playing with bubbles (or Buuuuh-Booooohhhsss) as Anna calls them.  If there is a bottle of buuuh-booohs laying around, Anna will be sure to grab it and bring it to Daddy!












A few weeks ago Daddy had to work so Mommy braved a road trip with us by herself and took us to Azle to see Grammy, Grampy and a bunch of other family we haven't seen in a while.  Unfortunately, Mommy only got a picture of one of those family members.  Grampy built us a great railing with a gate on the deck so we can just run free.  Grammy turned on her bubble machine and we just ran all over the place.  It was a lot of fun!!

We've also started sleeping like the big kids do at daycare on nap mats instead of pack 'n plays!

We are also into brushing our teeth right now.  Toothpaste is yummy!  Mommy tells us to throw our toothbrush into the sink when we are done, and we have gotten pretty good at it.  It used to be a battle because we didn't ever want to stop chewing on the brush, but we looooooooove doing things on our own and in our own time so we like that Mommy lets us decide when we are done. 



We also do the same thing in the morning with our Wubanubs.  Mommy and Daddy let us chunk them back into our cribs instead of wrestling them away from us.  If we are instructed to throw something, we are all over it!
Now that fall is here, we are ready for football!  We got these awesome jerseys that maybe we'll be able to wear next season too!






The first time the weather dipped into the tolerable range, we went to an Italian car show with Mommy and Daddy.  It was fun to be able to walk around outside!!



Also we have recently attended our first outdoor high school football game.  Aunt Mary bought us some t-shirts so we could cheer on Cousin William!!  We had a lot of fun, even though we look mad in the pictures. 






It was really hot and past our bedtime.  We did pretty good and saved the waterworks for the car ride home and all the way to bed.



We have really taken a liking to things we aren't supposed to play with.  Those are the best toys!!

Happy Wednesday!

Hello there!  So I think we last left off around the middle of July.  We had some visitors come see us after our last post.  Mommy's friend Diana and her family came to see us!  We got to chase around two cute blond haired boys (Grace's favorite flavor!) all weekend!!  We had so much fun!  Mommy was pretty bad about taking pictures, but that is kinda understandable.  Things were a little chaotic with 4 small children running around!  This is the only shot she got of all 4 kids, and didn't get any of the adults!  But here we all are hangin' out at the baby gate.

And here is a little sneak peek at what it would be like to have triplets in the house....super cute!   

One of our activities was going to Bass Pro.  We haven't been since we were little bitty, and we definitely got a lot more out of it now that we are older and wiser.  These are some of Mommy's favorite pictures of Anna.  There are these aquariums that you can kind of sit inside this plastic bubble and Anna LOVED them.  You can just see the awe and excitement in her face!!

Mommy and Daddy had a great time with Diana and Matt.  Even though there was a houseful of kiddos, it went very well!  We can't wait to see them again!! 

In other news, we are going to be flower girls next May!!!

Mommy's cousin Katie is getting married and asked us to be her flower girls.  We are so excited!  Katie mailed us these cute little letters asking us to be her flower girls.  Do you think Katie would mind if we showed up like this?

Don't worry Katie!  We wouldn't really!!  We may pull one of these though....

Just kidding!  We'll be on our best behavior....if we feel like it....we will be 2 year olds after all.  Tee hee ;)

The following weekend we went to the lake house to see Grammy and Grampy!  Here was the only picture Mommy got....she was going for quality over quantity.  YAY for tie die!  Thanks Grammy for our  new shirts...we love them!!

Mommy has taken a lot of random pictures of us....she's doing really good with project 366!  She's only missed 2 days out of the year so far.  The last day she missed was last week....and we blame Anna for that.  More on that later!  But here are some pictures of us sleeping....because who doesn't like sleeping babies right?



We have recently developed a love for our books.  We like to bring them to Mommy and Daddy, read a page or two, then grab the book back and run off!  Makes for some very short stories!



It was also about this time that Grace came down with a stomach bug, which she then passed along to Anna.  Mommy got barfed on for the first time.  And not like baby spit up type barf....like full blown throw up.  But that seemed to work wonders and Grace felt better after that.  Then Anna came down with it the next day.  Mommy had to come pick her up from school and then Daddy got to stay home with her the next day.  Anna was perfectly happy to snuggle up in her chair with Mickey and her cracker.

It was a bit of a stressful week for Mommy and Daddy.  That is also the week that Mommy forgot to take a picture.  When Mommy picked us up from school the day that Anna returned after her sickies, Anna got really mad!  She was absolutely inconsolable so Mommy and Daddy were worried something was wrong because that isn't like Anna to cry like that and to not stop for anything.  So Mommy whisked her off to the doctor.  The second Mommy stepped foot outside, Anna was fine.  Not a peep the rest of the evening!  Grace was already in bed by the time Mommy got home so Anna got a bath and then a little one on one time with Mommy and Daddy.  And then I guess to make up for the stress, she decided to start walking!  YAY!!  So she's not quite full time yet, but Mommy and Daddy are working with her every day and she can go pretty good distances!  She does get a little excited and dive for Mommy and Daddy at the end though, so she just needs to figure out her breaks.  But Mommy and Daddy are so excited to have 2 walkers now!!

Last weekend we got to see a bunch of family we haven't seen in a very long time!  Mommy managed to get a picture of us with cousins Chad and J.  J is cousin Katie's fiance.

We also got to see Barbara, Katie, Amanda, Bethany and J's Mom!  Mommy didn't get a picture...again...oops.  But it was really cool to see everyone.  Katie is really cool and let us unload her purse. 

So we've had some busy weekends and some exciting times!  Now we are anxiously awaiting Fall!  It will be nice to be able to get outside a little more when the temperatures get a little more bearable!
